Welcome to bbsfiles.org

Welcome to bbsfiles.org, a web archive dedicated to preserving BBS (Bulletin Board System) software, "Scene" mod packs, and utilities from the DOS/BBS era.

The site was launched in 2026 by The Serial Port team.

Comments

Every archive page has a comment section. No account is needed: a name is optional, and an email address is optional too. It is never shown and is only used to send the "new comment" notifications you ask for, which you can stop from any of those emails. We don't store your IP address. Comments that look like spam are held for review or removed.

Contributions

We're still building out the site. At this time, we have a large collection of files that are not yet imported — so we're not in need of more files yet 🙂

If you're interested in helping to manage or curate content, feel free to get in touch.
