= Release notes: EchoSprint 1.01/demo =
o This version of EchoSprint 1.01 is classified as an evaluation
version. What it includes is the User's Guide (which is
applicable to both versions) and a restricted executable file.
The evaluation version will allow you to fully install and
configure EchoSprint, but not make use of the two mailer
functions: Poll and Answer.
The configuration editor, manual reader, template verifier,
and nodelist compiler are all working as they do in the
licenced version.
You may freely distribute this archive so long as you do not
modify this archive .. do not even put it into your favourite
archival format. This allows others some sense of security
when obtaining the package.
o Please, during your evaluation, note down any bugs you see,
and mail them to us at any of the addresses provided in
Appendix D of the User's Guide. Your input is most
appreciated.
o Included in the archive is a form named ORDER.FRM for sending
in your licencing fee to obtain the fully working version of
EchoSprint. At this time (August 1992), please retain any
fees for licencing your installation of EchoSprint.
Once the decision is made to begin releasing licenced versions
of EchoSprint, public announcements will be made to notify
you. Beta testing is currently being carried out. We wish to
make EchoSprint a solid commercial package and we don't wish
to cut corners on beta testing it.
