There are a few things you must know before you use our hexxing items.
Please read all of this before you continue. Here they are:
1. All of our patches are backdoor free. We do not add anything but what
is specified. If the file has been tampered with, DON'T USE IT!!
2. The PATCH.EXE file included is the main patching program. It was coded
by Hunter [CoRE]. Just use that for all the hexxing, and use the .HTR
files included with each hex, when it asks for it!
3. When hexxing ansis into Renegade, it often leaves 2 spaces under the ansi
which gets REALLY annoying to say the least. You can fix this by going
into the .OVR with a hex editor and putting an ALT-27[2A, after the %DF
MCi code. This will move the cursor up. The hex form of ALT-27 is "1b"
We could not do this for you, cuz it varies on the type of ansi you use.
4. We did not put any of the already released hexxes, like Last Callers, and
all those things, for just that reason, they were already released!
We deal mainly with things people never thought of...
5. These patches will only work on Renegade Version 10-05 exp!!
If you need a patch made for another version, please call a support board
and request it on CoRENET...
6. When hex editing NEVER EVER hit the delete key, always use the arrows
and go back over what you did. If not, it will destroy the file!
