FLame REPORTer (FLREPORT) v. 1.001 --- Copyright 1994, Chris Anderson
1.0 Release
1.001 Increased the size of certain fields and corrected the
absence of AREAFIX information reporting
The FLame REPORTer can be configured from command line switches :
NODAILY and NOTOTALS eliminate report generation for the current
and cumulative reporting in FLAME.RPT, respectively. However,
full statistical information is kept on all fields regardless of
whether or not these are actually being reported upon. This
allows later reporting of previously recorded data.
The following may be used to modify the content of the reports.
They will effect both current and cumulative reports:
ALL Reports generated on all of the following (default):
ECHO Reports on echo traffic in and out
INBOUND Reports on inbound traffic in packets and archives
OUTBOUND Reports on outbound traffic in packets
ERRORS Reports all logged errors
AREAFIX Reports all AREAFIX activity
REMAP Reports all remapping activity
FORWARD Reports all forwarding activity
The files ESTATS.DAT, TINSTATS.DAT and TONSTATS.DAT are
created by this program as permanent records of the activity
of your FLAME logs. If you wish to reinitialize the cumulative
data, these files can be deleted to do so. If you do not wish
to reinitialize the cumulative data, these files must *not* be
deleted. The report that results from running this program is
saved as FLAME.RPT. This is an ASCII file and may be viewed with
your choice of file editors/viewers, or printed on any printer that
supports the IBM extended graphic character set.
Once you have run FLREPORT against any given FLAME.LOG file, you
should not run it against that file again. Either delete your
FLAME.LOG file, or rename/archive/move it to prevent FLREPORT from
extracting data from it a second time and adding the same data more
than once to the cumulative totals. This also allows you to keep
only the small FLAME.RPT files. Using a program like DAYNBR, you
can give each FLAME.RPT file a unique name and store it with
your favorite archiver.
