FLAMEY2K.DOC

1.5 KB ec31433daa094f91…
The file FLAME.EXE contains a new executable option module which
should replace your current FLAME.EXE. This executable file contains
fixes for Y2K. Other files are associated auxiliary programs that
are not necessarily used in all installations.

eSoft recommends the following procedure for installing these
programs:

1. Bring down the TBBS system.

2. Backup all important data on the TBBS system. This should
minimally include all data files that TBBS utilizes as well as the
original FLAME.EXE file and associated data files.

3. Copy the new executable files over the old ones.

5. Sufficiently test the new FLAME executables before bringing your TBBS
system up live.

4. Restart your TBBS system.

eSoft makes no warranties or representations that the new FLAME
module fixes all Y2K problems. eSoft has done limited testing of the
module, and it passed each test. However, each TBBS system is
different, so your results may be different. If you detect a problem
with this new FLAME module, please send an Internet email to
y2k@esoft.com and clearly explain how to duplicate the problem.

eSoft will make every effort to correct Y2K issues with TBBS and
associated option modules before December 31, 1999. However, if you
find problems, eSoft recommends following the above procedure so we
will know what they are and can try to issue a new fix. If the fix
is not released before the new year, eSoft recommends setting the
clock on your TBBS system back a few days until the problem can be
repaired.
