The program WP.TPG allows you to use the TDBS memo editor as a general
purpose text editor. It allows you to edit any text file while TBBS is
up and running.
When you run this program, it will indicate that you should press ^] to
enter the memo editor. Press these keys and you will be presented with
the TDBS memo editor help menu.
Once in the memo editor you can load any text file to edit by using the
internal ^KR command. Press ^K then R and the memo editor will prompt
you for the file name to load. Enter the full path and file name and the
file will be loaded into the memo editor.
Note: You are editing a temporary copy of the file so that there are no
conflicts with other users. You may also discard the file changes you
make by simply not writing out the updated file.
To re-write the file use the ^KW command. You will be prompted for the
file name write, enter it and your modified text will be written to that
file.
You exit the editor by pressing <ESC> twice.
