ULEDIT2K.DOC

1.3 KB 214c446e3a5f37fe…
The file ULEDIT.EXE contains a new executable file which should
replace the original ULEDIT.EXE which came with TBBS 2.3.

eSoft recommends the following procedure for installing this
executable file:

1. Bring down the TBBS system.

2. Backup all important data on the TBBS system. This should
minimally include all data files that TBBS utilizes as well as the
original ULEDIT.EXE file.

3. Copy the new ULEDIT.EXE file over the old one.

4. Sufficiently test the new ULEDIT module before bringing your TBBS
system up live.

eSoft makes no warranties or representations that the new ULEDIT
module fixes all Y2K problems. eSoft has done limited testing of the
module, and it passed each test. However, each TBBS system is
different, so your results may be different. If you detect a problem
with this new ULEDIT module, please send an Internet email to
y2k@esoft.com and clearly explain how to duplicate the problem.

eSoft will make every effort to correct Y2K issues with TBBS and
associated option modules before December 31, 1999. However, if you
find problems, eSoft recommends following the above procedure so we
will know what they are and can try to issue a new fix. If the fix
is not released before the new year, eSoft recommends setting the
clock on your TBBS system back a few days until the problem can be
repaired.
