WHAT IS TIM?

TIM is a utility for TAG and Intermail (it can also be used with
the FRONTDOOR program) that will take the name of your last BBS caller
and add it to the LASTCALL FROM: line at the frontend wait screen.

Even though TIM was originally written for TAG and InterMail support has
been included for other BBS systems including WildCat, Spitfire, and any
BBS system that will generate a DORINFOx.DEF, DOOR.SYS, or SPITFIRE.DAT
file during the user logoff or logon on procedure.

GETTING STARTING

First unarchive all files into the directory of your choice.

Second, edit the TIM.CFG file as follows:

                SYSOP'S NAME
                BBS NAME
                BBS NODE ADDRESS
                DOOR TYPE
                   1 - DorinfoX.def
                   2 - Door.sys [GAP format]
                   3 - Door.sys [WildCat format]
                   4 - SPITFIRE.DAT

COMPLETE PATH and NAME of BBS Drop file
COMPLETE PATH and NAME of LASTCALL file

Next add the commands to your BBS. For TAG all you need
is to create a LOGOFF.BAT and place it in you main BBS directory.
The batch file should look similar to the following:

      cd \IM     {or the directory in which you unpacked TIM}
      TIM
      cd \bbs

That is all there is to it.

Any errors and the number of trials remaining in the unregistered version
are written in the TIM.ERR file.

Also note that when the unregistered key expires the program will simply stop
to work with an error message being written to the TIM.ERR file. Otherwise
your BBS or frontend operations will not be affected.
