                     Message Base Reward Utility V1.0
                     --------------------------------

MBReward is a program that will allow you to reward users on your system
for making posts. This program is very simple and there is no need for a
large help file.

To use MBReward you need only provide it with the necessary information on
the command line. No config files are needed. The parameters that you need
to specify to the program can be obtained by typing MBReward with no other
parameters. This will make the program bring up its help screen.

But, for the sake of making this a complete doc file they are as follows:

/S:Path This is the path to the Status.Dat file for the node that you
wish to process. If you have more than one status.dat file
then run the program once per status.dat to make sure that you
are rewarding all of your users.

/K:xxx This is the number of upload K that you wish to give to the
users whenever they make a post. If this parameter is not
specified then no upload K will be added to the users account.

/F:xxx This is the File upload credit number. The way this works is
that if a user is to recieve a file upload credit then they
must make this many posts in ONE day. Integer division is
used so no half credits are given out. For example, if you
set this number to 3 and a user makes 5 posts she will get
1 file upload credit from the program. If this parameter is
not specified then no file upload credits will be given.

/P:xxx This is the file points option. Same as the other ones with
the exception that there is currently an obtainable ceiling
on the number of file points that a user may have (65535).
If a user exceeds this number of points by posting messages
then thier file points will be reset to 65535. Again, if you
dont want to use this option then do not specify a value on
              the command line.

/N This is the notify user switch. If this switch is present then
the users of the system that recieve rewards will be notified
when they log on by a message appearing in the shortmsg.dat
file. For those of you not familiar with this file, it is the
one where you see whether or not you have mail and if your
access was changed, etc. If you omit this switch then the
              users will not be notified.

/L Sysop Log switch. If you use this switch then you will be
notified in the sysop.log of who the program rewarded. If you
do not care to have this logged then omit this switch.

That's really all there is to this program. It is suggested that you run
the program each and every night in your nightly maintenance.

Thanks go out to Jack Cross for his idea on this program and for helping
me make it work the way that it does.
