If this program breaks your system, please accept my
regrets, and apology. However, I assume no responsiblity for
damage to your system, or data. Further, I assume no
responsibility for any monies lost due such damage. This
includes any psychological damage you may suffer because of
your loss. I may try to help you sort it out, but I assume no

This program tested successfully on AT 286-12 mhz, 386-33
mhz, 486-33 mhz systems. System configurations included, RLL,
IDE, SCSI and ESDI hard disks, video modes CGA to 33,000 colour
SVGA, and operating systems MS-DOS 5 and 6.
Do not distribute modified copies of TAG_SHUT. Please,
distribute TAG_SHUT in its original form only. Do not make
additions to the contents of the original archive; this includes
BBS ads.
You may not perform reverse engineering on this program.
You may not conceal the display of information, or copyright
notice I have written into this program.
I consider piracy the public distribution of a modified
program without the consent of the author. Piracy denies the
authors right to see their registration requirements met.
As the author, this is my program! If you wish to use it,
please do. If you wish to deface or maim it, remember that I
reserve the right to, and will protect my program from piracy by
whatever means I judge necessary.
To combat the pirating of my software, I have built in
several routines to prevent reverse engineering. Anyone trying
to modify my program will encounter these routines.

If your BBS is %100 FREE ACCESS, and you cannot afford a $10
donation now, you may continue to use this program beyond the 30
day evaluation period by following these requirments:
A) You must keep a copy of this program available for
unrestricted download. This copy must be available
for as long as you are using this program.
B) Send me a postcard letting me know what you think
of this program. My address is listed below.
C) When your financial situation allows, you
will send me a $10 donation.

If your BBS is %100 FREE ACCESS, and you can afford a $10
donation now, you must do. Otherwise, please stop using this
program after the 30 day evaluation period.

BBS systems that charge membership, or online fees must make
a $10 contribution. The evaluation period for this type of BBS
is 15 days. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.
To all who have made a $10 contribution:
I will make a SITE registration file available to you. This
SITE file will personalize your copy of TAG_SHUT, show your
name and show that you are a supporter of TAG_SHUT.
Your SITE file will also produce the following advantages:
Pause times in certain places are cut (or eliminated).
Ability to bypass now MANDATORY local logon.
Your name appearing just under the ANSI DETECTED display on
any remote logons, rather than [ Evaluation Copy ].
Ability to change password to your system, manually. (Bonus,
eh?)
Ability to define length of Auto-Generated passwords (4-8
characters).
Ability to turn off auto-password generation completely if
you wish.
Ability to turn off ANSI DETECTED display.
Certain little goodies that I, 'may' provide if requested.

while the program is under delelopment. NOTE: See

Include the CORRECTLY SPELLED / CASE SENSITIVE name of your BBS,
SysOp name and BBS phone number (as defined in STATUS.DAT) for
encoding into your SITE file.
Site files can be picked up (downloaded from) The Creative
ArtsBase BBS in Hamilton Ont., at (416) 527-8027 in about 14 days
from the time I receive your info.
