Adopt 1.0 02/21/91 Initial release.
Adopt 1.1 03/13/91 Fixed a very serious bug. Seems that someone
forgot to include in the program for ADOPT to
auto-detect ANSI. (OOPS!) A special thanks goes
out to Mark Tetrault of "The Pembroke Connection"
in Pembroke, NH for letting me know about this
problem.
Adopt 1.2 03/15/91 Adopt was not closing all system file properly so
changed the way it shut down. Also added a closing
line to let users know that the next door was
loading.[Unreleased]
Adopt 1.3 03/16/91 Seems there is a problem in the way that DFRAME
writes to callinfo.bbs that takes away all of a
users time. Zeroed out the TimeOn% variable to
show that user hasn't used any time in the door.
Adopt 2.0 --/--/-- Unreleased due to bugs in the DFRAME module relating
to WILDCAT!
Adopt 3.0 05/18/91 Added the option to make ADOPT SysOp configurable.
The SysOp can now set the colors and messages that
ADOPT displays on the super screen. The time bug
for WC! BBSs has been corrected so that ADOPT runs
out from under LIVECAT! with no problems. There
still may be a problem with DOS 4.0 or higher so
keep a close eye on things. This is also due to
Dframe.
Adopt 4.0 06/22/91 Converted Adopt to work with Wildcat! 3.0 without
any conversion programs being needed. See
(WILDCAT!.30) which is included in the archive.
Also added the ability to turn off the prompt line
on the main screen if the sysop prefers that mode.
Did a few little modifications to the screen and
routines to possibly speed things up a bit.
Adopt 4.1 07/29/91 Fixed bug where certain BBS systems were getting an
"Altered" error message and door was aborting.
Adopt 4.2 09/29/91 Fixed the docs. Corrected the errors in them
pertaining to the CFG file. Recompiled Adopt with
the latest version of DoorFrame.
Adopt 4.3 02/09/92 Cleaned up the looks of Adopt a bit and reworked a
few of the routines to make them a bit faster. This
version was also recompiled using the latest version
of DoorFrame. (#25) I also changed the looks of the
DNR file to make it a bit more understandable.
Heck, even I know what they mean now.
Adopt 4.4 05/11/92 Recompiled with the latest version of DoorFrame.
I also altered the appearance just a tad. No major
changes.
Adopt 4.5 11/09/92 Compiled with the latest version of DoorFrame which
adds the ability to use a FOSSIL driver. Display
routines are much faster since the last release.
Changed some of the text displays.
Adopt 4.6 12/27/92 Added a routine to check for idle keyboard input.
It is possible for someone to keep your BBS online
indefinitely without this feature. The ADCNF.EXE
file has also been updated. It is a bit more sysop
friendly.
Adopt 4.7 01/04/93 Added a Clear Screen Routine. Adopt was overwriting
instead of clearing.
Adopt 4.8 03/05/93 Optimized several of the routines. Recompiled using
the latest DoorFrame.
Adopt 4.9 04/30/93 Compiled with latest DF module. Adopt supports the
changes made to DOOR.SYS and USERINFO.DAT in WC!3.9.
Adopt 4.91 9/26/93 Made a few internal changes and appearance changes.
Compiled with he latest DoorFrame which fixes a few
small bugs and improves the fossil support. Screens
will not terminate until the user presses [ENTER]

Adopt 5.0 12/12/93 Recompiled using the latest DoorFrame. This fixes a
few incompatibilites with fossil drivers and allows
Adopt to tun LOCAL using DOOR.SYS.
