╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
║ TCEDIT is still in BETA test. If you are a member of FidoNet, a beta ║
║ discussion echo for TCEDIT is available from 1:2605/631. We ask that ║
║ you participate in this echo to facilitate bug reports and enhancement ║
║ requests. The echo is small, and would require polling only a few ║
║ times a week. Please contact Al Everett at 1:2605/631 for details. ║

Files created and maintained by TCEDIT:

TCEDIT.CFG Configuration file created by TCOPTS
        TAGPTRS.DAT Tagline file index

(These files will be created and reside in the same directory as TCEDIT.)

Fixes and enhancements:

Version 1.1l:

Added "/D" switch opens the editor with debugging ON. This will
override the configuration file. (Solves the problem of
trying to fix problems when the configuration file couldn't be
read.) This switch is only valid in TAG mode.

NEW TCEDIT is now friendlier in multi-node environments. It is
now no longer necessary to run multiple copies of TCEDIT or
have multiple configuration files on a multi-node system.
Please see TCESYSOP.DOC for more details.

Version 1.1k:

This was an interim release and was not released as a wide
          beta test.

Version 1.1j:

Added "/I" switch for starting editor in "Insert" mode. Works in
both TAG mode as well as in standalone editor mode. Because
of delays associated with redrawing the screen at low modem
connect rates, it is recommended that SysOps do NOT use this
          switch in TAG mode.

Added Extended command (CTRL-X X) to shell to DOS from the editor.
For security reasons, this function ONLY works in standalone
mode. It will not work in TAG mode.

Fixed The order of options in TCOPTS is now more aesthetically
          pleasing.

NOTE: This will most likely be the LAST beta release before the program
is released to the general public as a standard. Please be sure
to contact SmartSoft at 1:2605/631 with any problems or
       difficulties you encounter.
