History of ESP!
I decided it was time for this poor underworked SysOp to
try to learn a bit about QuickBasic. I originally wrote
ESP! on a C=128 in PET Basic. The game is very simple. I
have even likened the simplicity of it to the fact that even
*MOST* of our users can play it without and documentation
whatsoever. It hasn't really been all that hard to
accomplish. Robert Holloman has helped a ton in developing
and polishing some of the QB routines. A lot of excellent
ideas and new features have come from the infinite gaming
wisdom of Bill Ward such as a screen redraw and some of the
cosmetic touches. Bill how do you like the border? <grin>
The screen redraw was a doozy to develop. It involved all
of having to put a Screen clear in the routine. Even took
me 2 -3 minutes to figure that one out. I have registerd
the Door Creation Pkg that I used to write ESP! and intend
to release it for distribution just as soon a I can finally
get all of the little buggy creatures out of it. At this
moment the code is very stable in a WILDCAT! setup.
