Question: WILL TRANSCAN V5 WORK WITH WINDOWS 95/NT?
Answer: YES!
TranScan v5 works fine in a DOS Window under Windows 95 and
Windows NT.
Question: WILL TRANSCAN WORK WITH WILDCAT V5 (ANNIHILATOR)?
Answer: NO, BUT...
A 32bit version of TranScan (to be called TranScan Gold v1.00)
is under developement that will work specifically for Wildcat
v5 (Annihilator).
Question: WHEN WILL THIS VERSION OF TRANSCAN BE AVAILABLE?
Answer: April 1, 1996 -- BETA
We hope to enter the BETA cycle of TranScan Gold about
April 1st.
April 31, 1996 -- GAMA
We hope to have a GAMA version available around April 31st.
Anyone purchasing TranScan Gold prior to April 31st will be
eligible for the GAMA release.
May 30, 1996 -- RELEASE
We hope to have the full version released on May 30, 1996.
Question: HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE BETA TEAM?
Answer: We will start approving BETA team applications on March 15th.
We are limiting the size of the BETA team to 25. We will
maintain a waiting list and replace inactive team members as
necessary. See the file BETA.DOC for complete information.
Question: HOW CAN I BE ON THE GAMA TEAM?
Answer: Order now! Use your MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or
Discover card to order now. We will NOT process your card
until the GAMA disks are ready to mail. Your GAMA version
will be mailed to you with complete instructions on where
and how to receive further gama updates. The full version
will be mailed to you when it is released.

Question: HOW WILL UPDATES AND UPGRADES BE HANDLED?
Answer: We will be changing the way we handle updates and upgrades
with this release of TranScan Gold.
All MAJOR UPGRADES (v1.xx to 2.xx) will continue to be
half price to registered users.
All MINOR UPDATES (v1.00 to v1.01) will be available free
for download as update patches. Minor updates will be
bug fixes only.
All INTERMEDIATE UPGRADES (v1.0x to 1.1x) will be available
for a small fee of $15 each. Intermediate upgrades will
include more features and functions. We anticipate having
an INTERMEDIATE UPGRADE every six months or so.
Question: WILL AN AUTO-UPDATE PLAN BE AVAILABLE?
Answer: YES!
For only $35 you will receive all MINOR UPDATES and
INTERMEDIATE UPGRADES for one FULL year. This includes
shipping! Order the AUTO-UPGRADE plan at time of
purchase and we'll include two additional months free!
Question: I DONT HAVE TRANSCAN V5, SHOULD I WAIT AND JUST BUY
TRANSCAN GOLD V1.00?
Answer: If you wait you can register for $79.95. If you order
TranScan v5.20 and upgrade prior to June 30, 1996 your total
cost will only be $74.95. This is a $5.00 savings. So,
dont delay. If you dont have TranScan v5 go ahead and
register it today!
Question: WILL YOU CONTINUE TO SUPPORT TRANSCAN V5?
Answer: Yes, we will continue to support TranScan v5 until a DOS
version of TranScan Gold has been developed.
Question: CAN I TRY A SHAREWARE VERSION OF TRANSCAN GOLD V1.00?
Answer: NO,
there are no plans to provide a shareware version of
Transcan Gold at this time.
